Legal Representation
We provide representation on a variety of immigration matters. Starting with a consultation, an attorney or Department of Justice Accredited Representative will ask questions about you and your family. After your consultation, you will be advised of your eligibility to apply for immigration benefits.
We provide representation in the following matters:
We provide representation in naturalization cases or cases where someone may have inherited citizenship from their United States citizen parents or grandparents.
Unaccompanied children are those children who arrive in the United States and are not in the custody of a parent or legal guardian. These children often arrive with other family members who do not have legal custody of the child as it is not customary in other countries for family members raising children to seek legal custody. The Unaccompanied Minors Program provides representation for unaccompanied children detained in local Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) shelters. Our staff conducts individual and group Know Your Rights presentations prior to each child’s first court appearance. We provide full legal representation to unaccompanied children who go to court before leaving the El Paso area.
Our Crime Victims Program provides representation to survivors of domestic violence, trafficking, and other violent crimes.
The Religious Workers Program provides representation to foreign-born religious workers wishing to serve in our local Dioceses.
Our Removal Defense Unit includes full representation for detained and non-detained individuals who are currently in removal proceedings in the El Paso area Immigration Courts. During an initial consultation, your information will be collected by an attorney. Our team of attorneys will analyze the facts of your case and present you with your options for relief from removal/deportation.
If you are detained and unable to meet, you can send a friend or family member on your behalf. If you cannot send someone to our office, please contact one of our Legal Orientation Program staff member. Estrella del Paso provides representation to individuals at these area detention centers ONLY: El Paso Service Processing Center and Otero Service Processing Center.
The Affirmative Legal Services Unit is among our busiest. Staffed with Department of Justice Accredited Representatives, this unit provides representation before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
