A Night of Belonging 2023

“A Night of Belonging” fundraising dinner and silent auction celebrated the migrant community, as well as the tireless compassion and hospitality of the people of El Paso who consistently respond to the needs of our migrant brothers and sisters. The event commemorated the unveiling of our new identity as Estrella del Paso.

Welcoming Week is September 13 – 22, 2024. During Welcoming Week, local communities around the world host in-person and virtual events that connect people of different backgrounds through shared causes and interests. This year’s theme, “We’re All In,” encourages us to connect with our neighbors, learn about different cultures, and work together to build strong, inclusive communities where everyone feels like they belong, highlighting how much better we are when we value everyone’s unique experiences and backgrounds.
Estrella del Paso (formerly DMRS), the largest free immigration legal services provider in west Texas, will celebrate the week with inspiring words from local artists as well as a student art exhibit and juried art show. The event will take place on Citizenship Day, Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at our office located at 2400 E. Yandell Dr.
Estrella del Paso has invited local artists to share their art and speak about their experience during their artistic career, as well as their views on the importance of welcome and belonging. We are so proud to live and work in a welcoming community that we want to showcase the magic. The event will be open to the public and is free of charge.
