Imelda Maynard

Imelda Maynard is licensed to practice law in the states of Oklahoma and Texas and before the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. After becoming an attorney in 2010, Imelda worked as a private practice attorney in Oklahoma focusing on Immigration and Family Law. In late 2016, Imelda left private practice and began her career as a non-profit attorney, working for Catholic Charities of Southern New Mexico as their managing attorney. While at Catholic Charities, Imelda helped the migrant communities in Southern New Mexico and West Texas. Imelda joined Estrella del Paso in 2021 as a managing staff attorney with the Organization’s Unaccompanied Minors Unit where she helped unaccompanied migrant children obtain lawful status. In 2023 Imelda became Estrella del Paso’s Director of Legal Services where she now oversees all of the organization’s legal units.
